Short Story introdction

'Dad?', I whispered trying not to wake up the peaceful soul lying next to him, 'dad wake up.' He didn't. Maybe he was just... tired i thought to myself. I shook him again but he didn't move. Silent tears ran down my soft cheek as i realiased what happened. I was only 5 when my dad died. I still have memories of the ambulance sirens. Sometimes i even wake up thinking i am still in the hospital bed next to my dad. It was a grave loss.

Descriptive paragraph

Charlotte walked through the ruins of her home town dodging all of the dead bodies. She recognised one of them, it was the mail boy, the one she was deeply in love. A tear rolled down her cheek. His pale cheeks were ice cold as she ran her finger through his hair, it was full of dired bits of mud. She shook his body to she if he was still alive, she checked his pulse, but there was nothing. Why would nature do such a devastating thing, especially something she loved.She fell to the muddy ground knowing she was the only one alive. 'Why?' she screamed, 'Why?'.
